Where is my data stored?

SugoSure stores patient data in cloud-based databases located in Singapore hosted by Amazon Web Services. Data storage is subject to business agreements between ConnectedHealth and Amazon Web Services which require the parties to manage and store your data in a manner consistent with prevailing regulations and our stated Privacy Policy.

Should you wish us to purge our databases of your clinical data upon stopping use of SugoSure, you may request this at that time.

Will my data be used for any other purposes than to support my diabetes management?

ConnectedHealth reserves the right to use SugoSure patient data in an anonymised way for analytics and research projects for its own purposes or in collaboration with 3rd parties. Various established techniques exist to anonymise your data for such use in a way which cannot compromise the privacy of your data.

Analytics and research projects are envisaged to generate learnings which will lead to improvements in how diabetes is managed. By allowing anonymised access to your data you will be contributing to these future improvements.

However, should you wish for your data not to be used in this way - even while anonymised - you may inform us and we will ensure that your data is only used to support your own diabetes management.

How secure is my data stored by SugoSure?

SugoSure has been designed to ensure the highest levels of security in line with prevailing regulations covering storage and access to personal health records. Your clinical data is accessible only to you, your doctor and your health coaches (you are assigned a primary health coach and a secondary health coach for cross-coverage).

All data entered by you, your doctor and your health coaches is encrypted in transit through SugoSure and at rest in our databases.

Your administrative data is also managed according to Company protocols which restrict access to those staff who need to have access.

How is SugoSure different from the many diabetes apps in the market?

Although there are many diabetes apps in the market, few are widely adopted. SugoSure is much more than an app: it is a comprehensive, lifestyle-driven approach which complement’s your doctor’s Clinical Plan.  

With integrated health coaching, SugoSure will help you make fundamental and lasting improvements in your diabetes.

Why do you consider SugoSure’s protocols to be ‘Simply a Better Way to Manage Diabetes?’

One of the problems with diabetes care in many countries is that it is hard to access and the quality of care is not uniformly high. Doctors are overburdened with patients and may lack time. Diabetic nurses and dieticians are in short supply.

SugoSure is designed to enhance patient care through technology, which allows doctors and nurses to be more productive and teaches patients how to self-manage.

Processes and protocols based on best clinical practice and built into SugoSure so now patients can be confident that they are getting the best possible care for their condition.

Who designed SugoSure?

SugoSure has been developed and tested over 4 years by ConnectedHealth with input from our Medical Advisory Board, comprising some of Singapore’s top diabetes specialists.

We have improved its features and ease-of-use progressively based on feedback from patients and doctors who participated in our Beta Test.

Will my company or insurance policy cover the cost of SugoSure?

ConnectedHealth is in discussion with several corporate healthcare providers and insurance companies about making SugoSure available to their patients.  As and when these partnerships are confirmed we will announce them so that covered patients can take advantage of SugoSure.

If you wish start SugoSure before these arrangements with your employer or insurer are confirmed do sign up as an individual under our self-pay scheme.


If I subscribe to SugoSure do I still need to consult my doctor every 3 months?

SugoSure is designed to complement the care provided by your doctor, who will use SugoSure to keep an eye on your progress between visits.

Your doctor may give you feedback, change when you monitor your blood glucose or ask you to alter your medication dosage based on his Remote Reviews of your data.  It is possible that this may allow less frequent in-person consultations but this is up to you and your doctor to discuss.

You will continue to be billed for consultations and medications separately from SugoSure.  Processes and protocols based on best clinical practice and built into SugoSure so now patients can be confident that they are getting the best possible care for their condition.

How much does SugoSure cost?

SugoSure is a subscription-based service which is billed 3-monthly to patients. Subscription is priced at $99 for 3 months which includes digital health support, health coaching and remote monitoring by your doctor.

SugoSure’s minimum subscription period is 3 months since evaluation of your diabetes then making adjustments to your lifestyle and Clinical Plan must be done gradually.  SugoSure patients who have shown the greatest improvement in their diabetic control have made steady progress over a year or more.

What if I find I can’t comply with what SugoSure asks me to do? Can I get a refund?

Getting the most out of SugoSure does require some patient commitment and motivation to comply with its protocols.


These are not overly time-consuming or intrusive and your doctor and health coach will adjust what SugoSure asks you to do based on your clinical situation.

If, however, within your first month you decide that SugoSure is not for you then ConnectedHealth will refund the cost of your remaining pre-paid subscription period.

What if my doctor is not a SugoSure doctor?

SugoSure is designed to support comprehensive, coordinated management of diabetes and must include the doctor whom you consult for diabetes care.


SugoSure being launched simultaneously to patients and doctors so your doctor may not yet be a SugoSure doctor. If this is the case and you are keen to start SugoSure do mention this to your doctor.

We will also contact your doctor and support their on-boarding as a SugoSure doctor.


How do I evaluate what SugoSure can do for me?

As you learn more about SugoSure our health coaches will work with you to identify areas where you can improve your diabetes management and show you how SugoSure can help you achieve this. This starts with a Diabetes Assessment which comprises just 8 short questions and is needed so that your health coach can identify areas of focus for improvement.

Based on these discussions you may decide to subscribe immediately or use SugoSure for a free 2-week trial before subscribing.
